岩殿山に住む鬼が岩殿山から向かいの徳厳山に足をかけた時、桃太郎が斬りつけ、滴り落ちた鬼の血が真蔵院の墓地向かいのお宮の石塀やこの辺りの土に染み込んでいるとのお話。
